The only person I had to talk to was the attendant at the exit, who did nothing more than check my driver's license to verify that I was the person who had reserved the car.
From the time I deplaned until I drove off the lot with the rental car was about 45 minutes (this includes the time spent riding in the Hertz shuttle bus). Within minutes of landing, I got an E-mail from them, telling me what kind of car they had set aside for me and what stall number it was in. The primary benefit at the larger airports such as LAX is that you walk straight to the vehicle and drive off the lot - no lines, no "talking to a representative", NO HASSLE. But I understand more people will post complaints than complements which is part of human nature. I know there are a lot of complaints on here about Dollar and Thrifty. has negotiated a good price and included unlimited kilometres/Kilometers/Miles plus: I've done it through a 3rd company which is a part of. Hopefully not a last century looking Ford Crown Victoria. I have paid and recieved a voucher for Chrysler 300 or similar. Has anyone recently had good or bad experience dealing with Dollar car rentals.
